San Cassiano, your gateway to the Dolomites in every season
Step outside in the morning and no cars cross the village centre. This is the pedestrian heart of San Cassiano, with the sheer walls of the Dolomites framing the horizon.
Edelweiss Dolomites stands right here, in the middle of the village. From this doorstep, very different days can begin: on skis in winter, or on hiking and cycling routes when summer arrives.
Winter: from San Cassiano to the Dolomiti Superski
The Piz Sorega lifts are just a ten-minute walk away. From there, the Alta Badia ski area opens up, linked to the wider Dolomiti Superski network.
In the morning, you can leave the pedestrian zone in your ski boots while the car stays in the garage. In the evening, skis and equipment have their place in the house ski storage or in dedicated lockers directly on the slopes.

Summer: walking and cycling in Alta Badia
In summer, the landscape moves to a different rhythm. Alta Badia can be explored on foot, along trails and hikes of different lengths, or by bike on road cycling and mountain biking routes.
Bikes have their own dedicated storage area in the house, complete with a water pump.

The Dolomites: part of your day, not just the backdrop
San Cassiano lies in Alta Badia, within the Dolomites landscape recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here the mountains are more than a backdrop: they become part of your day, whether you are skiing, walking or cycling.
Lech da Sompunt is also one of the area's popular summer destinations.
The starting point stays the same
Winter and summer have their own rhythms, but your holiday always starts in the pedestrian centre of San Cassiano. Step outside the door and decide where the day will take you.
